Showing ‘Gratitude’ by Supporting Mental Health

I don’t think it’s any secret that I’ve struggled with my mental health throughout my adult years (and probably younger than that if we’re being honest here). I created The Book of Good, a guided journal for people who want to find the good in each day, after using the techniques on my own.

Read: The origin story. And the announcement of the published journals.

Appropriate for all ages—from adults to teens to parents and children—this journal encourages users to write three good things that happened each day. Each spread has three lines for each day, then space to highlight the three best things for that week.

And I have exciting news!

In honor of my birthday month (yes, month) I plan to donate all March proceeds for The Book of Good to Mosaic Counseling, specifically toward youth counseling and programming.

Mosaic Counseling, a nonprofit agency founded in 1978, has changed the way that mental health services are delivered. Instead of telling you all of the reasons why you cannot be seen, they remove all barriers to make sure that you get the personalized counseling that you deserve.

I write books for teens and am passionate about supporting mental health, so it’s only natural that I give the proceeds to an organization doing so much for teens in my community. AND my birthday is in March and I’ve always celebrated for the entire month, and what better way to celebrate than by giving back?
