Hi, I’m multi-award winning YA author Melanie Hooyenga. My newest book, The Quiet Unraveling of Eve Ellaway, has been called emotional, shocking, irresistible, addictive, jaw-dropping, gripping, and unforgettable.

My time travel series, The Flicker Effect, tells the story of Biz, a 17-year old who uses sunlight to travel back to yesterday, and my sports romance series, The Rules Series, follows three girls in Boulder, Colorado who navigate their struggles with life and love while skiing, biking, and snowboarding in the great outdoors. The Campfire Series,features dual-POV stories about love, life, and making the most of sleeping under the stars.

I’ve lived in Washington DC, Chicago, and Mexico, but have finally settled down in my home state of Michigan with my husband Jeremy. When not at my day job as in higher education, you can find me wrangling my Miniature Schnauzer Gus and playing every sport imaginable with Jeremy.
