Introducing The Trail Rules! I’m so excited to announce that you can pre-order The Trail Rules — book 2 in the Rules Series! I’ve had so much fun writing this and cannot wait to share Mike (Mikayla) with the world!
To celebrate my productivity, I’m giving away a Kindle Fire 7 (8GB with Alexa)! All you have to do to enter is sign up for my newsletter. There are also bonus adds by following me on Instagram, Twitter, and the Facebooks, but really I’m hoping to keep in touch with all of you through my newsletter.
Sunday I finished the second draft of The Trail Rules, which I wrote over the summer, so it’s perfectly logical that today I’m starting the first draft of The Edge Rules, the next book in the series.

Okay, you’ve made at least one pass through your manuscript, you’ve fixed a few typos, maybe changed a couple details. You’re feeling good. Now it’s time to dig into the big-picture changes.
You did it. You typed those amazing words The End. You have a NOVEL. But maaaaaaaybe it’s not as polished as you’d like.
You know what that means? It’s time for…
The Dreaded ”E” Word: Editing
Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt, where you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize—one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours! (That’s this Sunday!)
No matter how many times I type those magical words THE END, it never gets old. On Friday—two weeks later than my goal but also 15,000 words past my goal—I finished the first draft of The Trail Rules, book two in the Rules series. (In case you’ve missed it, YES! This is now a series!)
Children’s Literary Classics has divisions for over a dozen categories, and THE SLOPE RULES won silver (second) for High School Romance!
